Simoco have completed the supply of next generation T-MATRIX TETRA Equipment to the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE), India.
The scope of the project includes supply, installation and commissioning of a TETRA based Digital Radio Trunking System and Wireless LAN connected over an ATM switch. The project also includes supply of Management Control Centre (MCC) comprising of Network Management Terminal, Dispatcher Workstation, Analogue & Digital Telephony Gateways, Data Gateway and Conventional Analogue Gateway.
With this, the Indian Army will join the league of other military organizations to choose TETRA as the preferred standard for communication to meet their future requirements for network-centric communication. The supplied system will be installed and commissioned at MCTE to provide officers with hands-on training on the next generation systems.
Choosing Simoco technology to implement the Wireless Access Network with connectivity to various other networks was the result of lengthy technical evaluation conducted by Army experts.
